Training
Training and coaching is provided by the Centre for Child and Family Studies at Leiden University.
Training
The 5-day training course provides basic training in the use of the Video-feedback Intervention to promote Positive Parenting and Sensitive Discipline (VIPP-SD). During this week the theoretical base will be discussed, the method will be illustrated and practiced (this includes the VIPP basic intervention). After completing an individual homework assignment, participants can obtain a certificate. Certified family coaches will be registered by the Centre for Child and Family Studies.
The next 5-day training course in the use of VIPP-SD will be organized in Leiden in November 2012. This training course is open for an international audience. Language of instruction is English. If you are interested in participating, please send an email to vipp@fsw.leidenuniv.nl
In-company training
We can arrange an in-company training at a location of your choice. Please contact us if you would like more information.
Supervision
In order to implement VIPP-SD successfully, further practice and coaching is necessary. The Centre for Child and Family Studies can offer supervision, or educate supervisors. The Centre for Child and Family Studies will keep track of the supervision records of certified coaches.
Reunions
To refresh basic knowledge, but also to gain more in-depth knowledge of the principles of the VIPP-SD method, reunions are organized. These reunions also offer the possibility to exchange experiences.
Co-training
After obtaining a basic certificate, and after sufficient practice and coaching, a training certificate can be obtained from an experienced trainer. Certified trainers are registered by the Centre for Child and Family Studies.
